Class Description
Kaci will teach a lesson on how to turn an ordinary branch into a loom for tapestry weaving. No prior weaving experience required. She will lead us on the basic steps of setting up the warp, starting your weaving, how to transition from one color to another, as well as finishing techniques. Everything you need to know to complete the project on your own, and keep making more. Warning: you may become addicted to branch weaving! BYOB (Bring your own branch). Note from Kaci: I do feel that it's an integral part of the process is to get into nature and find a special branch. I will also have backup branches in case anyone brings something that will be too difficult to work with for their first attempt.

From a 9 year tenure at Levi Strauss & Co to launching brands for William-Sonoma (Mark and Graham 2012) and Stitch Fix (Mohnton Made 2021), Leslie has proven leadership skills and an ability to create brands.

A lifelong passion for learning new skills and making things, taking classes frequently, from wood-block printing to shoe making. From teaching herself how to knit at the age of 8 to writing a knitting book at the age of 30… craft has played a central role in her life. Building a craft school pulls together her brand building experience with her love of making things.
